We are very excited about the release of our newest Walden Wahine t-shirt design, it was created by Walden team rider Vanina Walsh. Vanina is at 12 a very accomplished surfer, SUP'r and tandem surfer but if she ever gets tired of all the accolades and awards she is receiving in surfing she has a fall back - art. Vanina is already an accomplished painter, the Walden Wahine t-shirt design was pulled from one of her original paintings. Vanina paints the things she loves, the ocean, surfing, turtles and mermaids. We are thrilled to be able to offer her designs which are available in T-shirts, tanks, and long sleeve thermals. Walden Surfboards & Heather Ross partner

Walden Surfboards is excited to introduce the launch of our Artist Series Limited Edition surfboards, our first collection is by Santa Cruz native Heather Ross. Heather Ross is an author and artist. Her illustrations appear on textiles, paper goods, on the pages of her book, Weekend Sewing, and on her blog, Weekend by Heather Ross. Heather's work draws upon both her own childhood, which she describes as "rural and unsupervised," and her career in fashion and textile design to bring her readers a collection of projects, recipes, resources, artwork, and essays meant to inspire and empower young women (the first generation of American women, as Ross points out, for whom home ec was not a requirement) to live creatively.

Heather is originally from Santa Cruz, although she now calls NYC home she is stoked to be working with Walden Surfboards and coming back to her surfing roots.

Heather has designed three boards for us as well as the special Walden Wahine turtle logo that will be on on of her surfboards. Heather Ross's designs will be available in 7'0, 8'0 & 9'0. We will debut all of her designs on our new website coming in March! For more information contact us at info@waldensurfboards.com

Patty Anderson Jewelry at Walden Surfboards

We love everything having to do with the sea and we found the perfect accessories for all seaside loving wahine's Patty Anderson Jewelry, belts and accessories. We especially love her sand dollar belt buckles on her fabulous leather belts and her sterling silver starfish on hand dyed silk ribbons.

Patty Anderson Jewelry, Inc. was founded in 2000. Patty acquired her love of jewelry and jewelry crafting from her grandmother, a jewelry and silversmith artist. As a little girl Patty loved to stand by as her grandmother tumbled gems, melted silver, and created her treasures. Using the tools and building on the techniques learned from her grandmother, Patty began experimenting with many different new materials and her own style emerged.

What started as a hobby, combining silver beads, pearls, and semi-precious gemstones to create one-of-a-kind pieces for family and friends, became a successful creative venture that drew interest from Bloomingdales. Demand increased and a business evolved. Following a successful eight year period of nationwide distribution in Bloomingdales, Patty Anderson Jewelry can now be found in upscale boutiques around the United States and Bahamas.

Working with sterling silver, 14k gold, semi-precious stones, freshwater pearls and natural elements, Patty handcrafts all pieces of her jewelry. She creates pieces that can be worn daily or for special occasions.

Living in Florida, she finds inspiration all around her. You will often find Patty, her husband, three children, and two golden retrievers on the beach where inspiration is abundant. The ever changing palette of sea and sky, the textures in nature and the vivid surroundings trigger her natural creativity for jewelry and accessories.

Patty's designs are available at the Walden Surfboards surf shop at 853 E. Front st. in Ventura and will debut on our new website coming in March!

Walden Wahine photoshoot

First shots are in from our Walden Wahine photoshoot featuring some of our new Summerland" boards. What makes this shoot so great is it's a family affair, the boards are Walden's of course, but our model and "face" of Walden Wahine is Steve's daughter Anna and the pictures were shot by other daughter Lizzy. Anna & Lizzy have 6 kid's between them so getting the time to go shoot was not easy but we think the shots are great...look for more images soon.
Anna is holding a 9'0 Walden Wahine which is a magic model slimmed down just for women. The pattern is "poppies" and available by custom order only...we sold out of all inventory already. To get more info contact us at 805.653.1717 or info@waldensurfboards.com

Walden Surfboards kid's surfboards

Walden Surfboards has been making kid's longboards for years, we have to, Steve Walden is the proud grandfather of 15 grand kids and 1 great grand kid and the grand kids alone keep him shaping. Actually when we launched the Walden Wahine line almost 8 years ago we got inundated with mom's that also wanted surfboards for their kid's so Walden Kid's was born.
All of kid's boards are based on the famous Magic model, our best selling surfboard shape. You can pick any design that our adult boards come in including stripes, panels, colored rails, flames etc. but we also offer super cute and super chic designs just for kid's like hearts for girls and mini flames for boys.
We did this chic 5'6 surfboard using the artwork of super cool designer Heather Ross, the board features swimming mermaids, seahorses and octopus on sea foam blue board. This board is almost too sweet to wax, we know many of these pint size surfboards never make it to the water and are strictly for kid's rooms. In the past we have made surfboards to match wallpaper and bedding.

Our store is very girl friendly, besides the Walden Wahine boards, girl gear and apparel we also have a full section of cool surfy gifts. We did a short fun video that gives a quick ( maybe to quick) panoramic of our girls gift section. We carry everything from tropical candles and hula dolls to handmade jewelry.
